Do you know who owned the label?
I know it was based in NYC and I have a suspicion that it was the same guy who owned the Baton Records R&B label.

I've already traced Mardi-Gras to Malverne Record Distributors in NJ (which had the Onyx Records R&B label), and Tico was George Goldner who later sold the masters to Morris Levy at Roulette. (Goldner founded Cotique before he died.)

I found a Billboard news article from Nov. 1, 1952 that says Fiesta Records was formed by Jose Morand of Pemora Music (which was owned by Jose Morand and Xavier Cugat).

Here's a confusing detail for you all to consider. I have an vinyl LP
"Cha Cha in the Moonlight" Featuring Cheo Belen Puig and his Orchestra. On the Cover it states Rico Records NY NY (printed and packaged by G E M Albums, Inc. NY. But the record label states "Manufactured by Fiesta Record Co. Inc. NY" The ID number on the cover is RLP-3002 but engraved on the vinyl near the label is FLP-1213 (a Fiesta reference ID).

Hopefully this information will be of interest to you affectionados. I have only this one album from these companies. Best guess released 1954-58.

A belated thanks for the info.

I also found an "I Remember Switzerland" yodeling LP (Can't look up the number because it's in storage). They obviously went after the "ethnic" market.

From what I remember, Fiesta LPs were $2.50-$2.98 budget LPs (sold in record stores, not by the under-$2.00 rack-jobbers like Spin-O-Rama, etc.)
